The 81st annual Santa Barbara Old Spanish Days Fiesta Stock Horse
Show & Rodeo is right around the corner and we don't want
you to miss it. Rodeo is fun for the whole family, but not just
because of the action out in the dirt. Sometimes what you see
in the stands is just as entertaining.
Mamas, we want your babies to grow up to be cowboys and cowgirls.
Send the Beacon a photo of your wrangler all duded up -- the littlest
of buckaroos to teenagers with a Wild West attitude are eligible
-- and you just might get your eight seconds of glory.
The winner of the Beacon's first Portraits of the West contest
will be chosen by the Beacon and will get the use of our arena
box (four tickets) for the Aug. 6 performance at Earl Warren Showgrounds.
